Born and raised in New York City, the years that he did live in Puerto Rico influence and shaped his life for years to come. From El Cuco to the “Boogeyman,” from Limber to Mister Softee, you will recognize so much of your own life in this funny animated story.
Joey’s story takes him from a small town in Puerto Rico to Hollywood California from working in a hospital as a messenger to doing movies with Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, writing for George Lopez, Chris Rock, and touring with the incredible Marc Anthony.
Growing up Latino in America is our story and Joey Vega tells it the way it’s never been told before with lots of laughs.
